A Day at the Track

The AKF Advanced students spent the morning at the track practicing sprints. Sandy, Jeremy, and Wally are featured. All are great athletes (as well as martial artists). Form goes a long way, though, when trying to shave off tenths of seconds. In this video, attention is given to how their feet are landing - does what they're doing help them or hurt them? See for yourself.

May 9, 2010

Sunday, May 9, 2010 was Mother's Day. It was also Testing Day for 4 students in Mo Duk Pai Kung Fu. Jeremy Marchant tested for Blue sash, while Michelle Johnson and Mark Hollemon tested for Brown/Black sash. John Carney tested with them for Blue sash, training under Sifu David DiPrete in Port Townsend, WA. It was a good day - everyone passed! Congratulations to all.

Westside Academy of Kung Fu Opens

Nov. 2 2009

Westside Academy image Congratulations Sifu Wally and Lara on their grand opening of the latest Mo Duk Pai branch, the Westside Academy of Kung Fu! It's so fantastic to see our system enriched and growing with the opening of new schools. Both Sifu Wally and Lara got their start here at the AKF, and we wish them nothing but the best on their mission to bring the values of training and studying this art to a whole new population of students.

Different Style, Similar Focus

Footwork, angling, timing - all displayed beautifully. In training Mo Duk Pai at the Academy of Kung Fu, we strive for similar effectiveness and efficiency.
